He sees the gas station even if we don't!

Kaeden (my 6 yr. old son): {As we're driving down 141 highway last week} MOM!! The van is on E! We need to get gas now! What if we run out of gas? What will we do? We'll have no gas! How will we get home? What will happen? Who will help us? Find a gas station!!!

Me: Kaeden, chill! I know where the gas station is, we're going to make it there fine. Just calm down. Don't worry about it. It's fine! Think about something else.

Kaeden: But mom, I see the gas light! It's on! Please find a gas station!! Hurry!

Me: Why are you so worried about the gas? My goodness, just stop worrying about it. We are going to be fine. Chill!

Yep, my son is an anxious child. There are some things he cares less about, and then there are other times when he's awake at night because he is worried a meteor may crash into our house while we're sleeping (I'm serious people).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you ever think God is looking at us, telling us to "chill"? He sees the "gas station", the light at the end of the tunnel, the way out, the season passed, whatever it is, and he's telling us to just be still and not to worry. I kept thinking - why would Kaeden be so worried? He knows I'm an adult and I'm not just going to not know the gas tank is empty. I see it!

God sees everything. He knows everything. He created it for Pete's sake! Do you ever think that He's looking down at us and seeing us with our minds running frantically because we can only see the here and now, and He sees the whole entire timeline and He's thinking - Don't worry - you can't see it all but I can. I know that this season will pass, and I know what is in and on your heart. Just stop worrying and be still. Enjoy your time instead of wasting it wondering "what if".

We are a dot on the timeline. There is so much to come. Good things. Believe it, and then maybe your feelings will follow.

Have a blessed day everyone.

To God be the glory.

I've listened to God tell me repeatedly to get on here and blog about some positive things....like on a consistent basis. There is so much negativity - we need to cherish what we have and focus on what is good. Every good and perfect gift is from above!

So, I'm going to start doing this on a regular basis..not sure how it's really going to play out, but I'm going to just go with it for now.

First of all, have you ever heard this song? It's pretty stinking cool and uplifting! It will make you want to tap your feet and dance just a little ;). Seriously, just listen to it.

::I just finished this print design::

Seriously, do you know that God already knows everything about you? He's not surprised by what you do, or what you're thinking. He's not like, "Oh my goodness! (insert name here) I would never imagine you would ever say or do that! WHAT will I do with you!?".

You are His child. You are. Choose to believe it.

Faith is a choice.

TRUSTING is a choice.

Don't get me wrong, I struggle with this all the time. I find myself questioning sometimes too. My life is so far from perfect, but my God is. We all have our cross to bear, and the only way to get through it is to get back up from whatever it is that is getting you down and look to The Almighty.

What are some of your favorite things?

I love the smell of a campfire.
The smell of my daughter's cheeks when I kiss them makes me happy.
My son's strong hugs make me feel loved.
COFFEE.
I love a good uplifting worship song - it fills up my heart.
CHOCOLATE.

I could go on and on!

Have a great day friends.
Be strong.

To God be the Glory.

Have you seen this set made for the bathroom mirror?
While I was in the shower this morning (yes, I actually showered today! Glory alleluia), I was saying this outloud.
Outloud.
Your grace is sufficient for me.
Your power is made perfect, when I am weak.
All that I cling to, I lay at your feet.
Your grace is sufficient for me.
I love Joyce Meyer and listen to her alot. She always talks about saying things outloud and how it is more powerful. It's true. Try it for yourself.
It makes it more intentional. It feels good. :)

Be anxious for nothing.

Anxious people are always trying to live ahead of where they currently are. They spend their day trying to figure out tomorrow and the result is the loss of simplicity.
Give yourself - your thoughts, your conversation, your energies, every part of you - to the day at hand.
Give yourself to what you are doing.
You will sense an awareness enabling you to enjoy the current activity, instead of going through the day in a blur of activity and confusing thoughts that leave you drained and exhausted.

Anyone else need to hear this every once in a while? These are bits and pieces from one of the chapters in a Joyce Meyer book of mine.
Let it sink in folks.
