How I do what I do

So, after even more people asking how I create my illustrations, I thought now would be a good time to go over what I do again.


I start with a blank screen in my art program, which is Corel Painter. I usually have something in mind of what I want to start with, and I create my first layer. Then I start doodling, drawing, painting etc.

My pen I use to create with took me some time to get used to, but it's so much fun and I really love painting with it. I can mix colors, shade, use different mediums like oil paints, acrylic paints, charcoal, and even crayon! It's a digital canvas right on my computer. It's amazing how technology can allow a person to paint on the computer like you would a real canvas.

Interesting huh? It took me a very long time to figure out all of the ins and outs of this program, and how to effectively use my tablet and pen (it's called a wacom tablet). Now that I know how, It doesn't take me long to whip things up. I enjoy it so much and it's a great outlet for me. I want to share my faith with others through my artwork, and hope that I will.
